Kyle Holmes and David Taylor Gomes formed Peytoven Productions, LLC after creating their most recent project, Ranked, with the mission to create and produce contemporary and relevant theatre. Holmes and Gomes started collaborating in 2012 at Granite Bay High School. In 2017 they were the first amateur theatre group to produce The Unfortunates, coming off of its run at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and A.C.T. San Francisco. Later in 2017, they developed Boxed Up - The Musical, an episodic six-part musical comedy that took place at the Warehouse Artists Lofts (WAL) First Friday event, and culminated in a concert performance at Capital Stage. Gomes wrote the music and lyrics for Boxed Up, while Holmes was one of the show’s writers.
